Overview

Field Service Engineer required in the Midlands Area. £36,500 basic salary with access to a generous bonus scheme. 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm with access to overtime. Occasional pre-scheduled weekend work. 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, with an additional day for every 5 years of service. Company Vehicle Provided. Our client, a well-established leader in automated storage solutions, is seeking a dedicated Field Service Engineer to join their growing engineering team, covering the Midlands area.

Reporting to the Area Manager, your responsibilities will be to:

Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspections, annual servicing, routine maintenance, and repairs on automated storage systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical faults independently.
  • Support system upgrades, including software updates.
  • Assist with the commissioning and installation of new systems at client sites.
  • Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns.
  • Provide technical support and product training to clients.
  • Complete and submit accurate service reports and documentation promptly.
  • Manage travel and schedule efficiently.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of automated storage products and systems.
  • Represent our client professionally with a friendly and presentable manner.
  • Occasional national and international travel (for training purposes).

Location and travel: You will be based in and around the LE, CV, WV, WS and B postcode regions and will require a UK driving licence with minimal points. This is a field-based role so travel will be required. The company provides a van.

  • Full UK driving licence with minimal points.

  • High attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
  • Experience in storage solutions or materials handling (desirable but not essential).
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
