Job summary

Pioneer Selection - Manufacturing & Industry Recruitment Specialists is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service, maintain and repair forklift trucks and related MHE across customer sites around Chesterfield. You will diagnose faults, perform planned maintenance and respond to breakdowns, with the freedom to organise your own workload.

The role offers strong training, progression, and a route to stay up to date with the latest equipment, supported by a technical back-office team.

Qualifications

• Hands-on servicing or maintenance experience required.
• Maintenance experience of forklift trucks or mobile plant machinery or HGVs or industrial vehicles.
• Full UK Driving License required.

Responsibilities

• Fault finding and diagnostics on MHE on customer sites.
• Carrying out planned maintenance and breakdown repairs.
• Organise workload and diary; liaise with back-office support.

Shift: Monday to Friday - 40 Hour or 45 Hour Week available

Job Role:

I'm working with a market-leading materials handling business that's looking to add an experienced Field Service Engineer to its growing team. This role involves servicing, maintaining and repairing forklift trucks and a range of MHE across customer sites within your local area.

As a Field Service Engineer, you'll be responsible for fault finding, diagnostics, planned maintenance and breakdown repairs, with the autonomy to organise your own workload and diary. You'll be fully supported by a strong technical back-office team and benefit from ongoing manufacturer training and development, ensuring you stay up to date with the latest equipment and technologies.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of Field Service Engineer:

• Must have hands on Servicing or Maintenance Experience

Requirements of Field Service Engineer:

• Maintenance experience of Forklift Trucks or Mobile Plant Machinery or HGV's or industrial Vehicles.
• Have hands-on experience in the following disciplines: Electrical, Mechanical and Hydraulics.
• Full UK Driving License

Desirable Requirements of Field Service Engineer:

• Previously have worked as a Field Service Engineer.
• Minimum Level 3 Qualification in Engineering.
