Overview

Service Engineer (Field/Mobile Mechanic/Vehicle Technician) – Chelmsford and Romford.

Monday to Friday 40 or 45 hour contracts available.

Salary range: £31,000 – £39,000 starting salary depending on contract chosen.

Location: Chelmsford and Romford.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PPM and breakdown on materials handling machinery on a field service engineering basis
• Reactive breakdown coverage within the allocated geographical area
• Complete comprehensive training to become fully competent on all machinery and equipment
• Spares placed in van overnight
• Overtime is available if desired, mostly in the week

Requirements

• Plants, forklifts, HGV, agricultural or similar equipment; automotive technicians/motor trade will also be suitable
• Engine diagnostics and some basic electrical skills
• Ideally hold a level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject
