Job summary

Hexagon Recruitment in Birmingham is seeking an Electrical/Mechanical Field Engineer for a permanent role to service and install bespoke automated machinery across manufacturing facilities in the UK.

The role requires electrical bias with mechanical exposure, ability to read machine drawings and experience with PLC automation. You will travel to sites for service and installation, preparing technical reports and documentation for customers.

Qualifications

• Electrical biased with some Mechanical experience.
• HND or HNC qualified or equivalent qualifications.
• Must be Apprentice Trained.
• Be able to Read Planned Machine Drawings.
• Experience working with PLCs Machine Automation Control Systems.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain bespoke automated machines.
• Travel to customer sites for service and installation work.
• Complete technical reports and documentation for each job.

Job description

We are recruiting for the Permanent Position of a: Electrical/Mechanical Field Engineer.

Our client are an International based company who manufacture and Install/Maintaain bespoke automated machines in to Manufacturing facilities across the UK, Europe and around the World.

Basic Salary from 44,000 and up to ( 65,000 OTE with Overtime Pay), Plus Company Car, Plus Pension, Plus 25 Days plus 8 Bank Holidays, Plus Private Health Care, Plus Benfits Package.

The following skills are required;

• Electrical Biased with some Mechanical Experience.
• HND or HNC Qualified or Equiverlant Qualifications
• Must be Apprentice Trained.
• Be able to Read Planned Machine Drawings.
• Experience working with PLC's Machine Automation Control Systems.

Advantage, but not essential:

• Worked with Thermal Heat Type Systems.
• Proven experience with Fault Finding, Servicing & Machine Installation skills.
• Confident working with complex Automated Machinery.
• Confident in working alone or as part of a team on new machine Installs.
• Able to work with Customers and complete technical reports & documentation.
• Be able to travel and stay away from home on some Services and New Machine Installations or for training on new machine Upgrades.Work from Home on a daily basis.
• Hold a Full UK Driving License.
