The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, servicing and repairing Hiab and third-party equipment, whilst providing a good level of customer service through product knowledge and customer interaction.

This is a remote position for the UK, ideally based in the West Midlands or Wrexham area.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Undertake servicing of Hiab or third-party equipment at customer sites.
  • Complete all service, repair, warranty and inspection jobs allocated daily, to a high standard.
  • Build strong rapport and relationships with customers through professional behavior and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Respond to routine enquiries from customers about the technical aspects of the organization's products and services.
  • Complete all job-related paperwork accurately and promptly to ensure correct invoicing.
  • Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve standard technical problems, ensuring ongoing customer satisfaction.
  • Develop skills and knowledge of the organization's products and services.
  • Carry out assigned tasks safely, in accordance with instructions, safety rules, procedures, regulations, and codes of practice.
  • Support the company’s efforts to reduce accidents/incidents by reporting unsafe actions or conditions and participating in safety initiatives as required.

What you’ll need to succeed

Education:

  • Mechanical/Electrical Engineering qualifications.

Working experience:

  • Experienced multi-skilled engineer.
  • Experience in mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical operations.
