Job summary

Cpl Group in Belfast is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our engineering services team on a Monday to Friday. The role is hands-on and customer-facing, servicing a diverse range of industries.

You will perform preventative maintenance, fault finding, and repairs, travel within the assigned region, and work with project engineers during installation and commissioning. A full driving licence and active willingness to travel are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified in a Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned region.
• Excellent communication and customer relationship-building abilities.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance, fault finding, repairs and breakdown support on a range of engineering systems and equipment.
• Support customers across multiple industries, ensuring systems operate safely, efficiently and reliably.
• Manage and prioritise scheduled service activities within your designated region.
• Work closely with Project Engineers and Co-ordination teams to support installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems.
• Supervise and support contractors, apprentices and trainees as experience and competency develop.
• Source and order parts, equipment and engineering consumables as required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, problem-solving activities and engineering best practices.
• Build strong customer relationships while acting as a professional ambassador for the business.
• Operate from a fully equipped company vehicle, serving as a mobile engineering workshop.
