Overview

LOCATION: Based near Redditch with UK travel, excellent benefits

Opportunity

My client is looking for a field service engineer to work on a range of mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment - they are a successful independant company who design and manufacture, install, commission and service their own and third party equipment for a range of clients in the UK engineering and manufacturing sector.

Experience working on special purpose equipment and industral machinery is ideal - mechanical skills and the ability to work safely on electrical equipment is important. Ideally you will also be able to work on hydraulics or pneumatics.

They have a strong customer base, a reputation for excellence and a growing demand for their services so need an additional Field Service Technician to join them. If you have the right core skills and attitude they will give you on-going product and technical training.

The Role
  • Carry out field service visits on equipment at customers premises throughout the UK - occasional overnight stays are required.
  • Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment and equipment upgrades.
  • Fault find equipment and resolve problems working closely with in-house engineering teams.
  • Work in a structured manner with high attention to detail.
To Apply / Requirements

To apply for this role you should have:

  • Good hands-on engineering skills, able to work with mechanical, electrical and ideally hydraulic / pneumatic components and systems.
  • A passion for engineering, understanding how machines work.
  • A keen interest in learning and developing your skills as you will work alongside other engineers and learn from them.
  • Able to work independently on customer sites.
  • Conduct and present yourself in a professional and respectful manner and be reliable and able to work autonomously.
  • A full UK driving license and the ability to undertake UK travel and some overnight stays are essential to this role. Product training will be given to the successful candidate.
