Field Service Engineer (Field/Mobile Mechanic/Vehicle Technician)

Location: Aberdeen

Working Hours: 8am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday

Contracts: 40 or 45 Hour Contracts Available

Salary: A GBP 31,000 - A GBP 40,500 Starting Salary

The role of a Field Service Engineer is available within a market-leading forklift truck manufacturer. This field-based role offers extensive training, overtime opportunities, progression routes, and a healthy work-life balance.

The company provides a comprehensive training plan to support engineers in the field. Candidates with experience in cars, HGVs, agriculture, motorbikes, plant equipment, or similar are well-suited. Mechanical service and repair skills, engine diagnostics, and basic electrical skills are preferred.

You will be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance and breakdown coverage on forklifts and related equipment in Aberdeen and surrounding areas. No overnight stays or extensive travel are required. Overtime is available mainly during weekdays, and call-out is optional.

The Role in Brief

• Perform PPM and breakdown repairs on materials handling machinery
• Provide reactive breakdown coverage within the designated geographical area
• Complete training to become fully competent with all machinery and equipment
• Spare parts are pre-placed in the van overnight

Requirements

• Experience with cars, HGVs, agriculture, motorbikes, plant equipment, or similar
