Field Service Electrical Engineer

Fox ESS is seeking a skilled and experienced Field Service Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar inverters and battery storage systems across various sites in the UK. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
    • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on installed systems to ensure optimal performance.
    • Diagnose and repair faults in solar inverters and battery storage systems promptly and efficiently.
  2. Customer Support:
    • Provide technical support and training to customers on the operation and maintenance of solar inverters and battery systems.
    • Act as a point of contact for customers, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  3. Compliance and Safety:
    • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including conducting risk assessments and ensuring safe working practices.
    • Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  4. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of all installations, maintenance, and repairs.
    • Prepare detailed reports on system performance, faults, and any corrective actions taken.
Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in the installation and maintenance of electrical systems, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
  • Full UK driving license.

Desirable:

  • Experience with solar inverters and battery storage systems.
  • Additional qualifications in renewable energy systems or related fields.
Skills and Attributes:
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work at various sites across the UK.
  • A proactive approach to learning and staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
