Job summary

KHR is seeking a Service & Commissioning Engineer to install, commission and service automated machinery across the UK, with some travel in Europe. You will troubleshoot faults, train operators, and provide high-quality field support to customers.

The role is field-based, offering diverse workload and exposure to cutting-edge automation technology. Competitive salary £38,000–£45,000 plus overtime, pension and benefits.

Qualifications

Engineering qualification (Degree, HND, NVQ, BTEC or equivalent).
Experience diagnosing faults in automation equipment.
Experience with PLCs and HMIs is desirable.
Ability to work independently and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

Install and commission automated machinery at customer sites.
Carry out service, maintenance, and breakdown support visits.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control faults.
Deliver operator training to customer personnel.
Liaise with customers on installation schedules and support.
Prepare detailed site reports and service documentation.
Participate in project and design review meetings.
Ensure site visits are prepared with equipment and parts.
