Job summary

LMS Security Advisors is seeking a Field Security Technical Advisor to join our Technical Services team. The role involves travel to client sites across the UK, with some home-based working and occasional overseas travel.

You will provide expert technical security advice and support a range of client projects. Reporting to the Technical Delivery Director, you will review specifications, drawings, and quotations, and produce design drawings and documentation for security systems.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in a technical or security-related discipline.
• Desirable: recognised Fire & Security engineering qualification.
• Strong understanding of the design, installation, and maintenance of security systems.
• Ability to assess and challenge third-party installers and maintainers.
• Membership of ASC, The Security Institute, IPSA, or another recognised professional body is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical security advice across client sites and projects.
• Assess and audit security solutions against client requirements and recognised industry standards.
• Review technical specifications, drawings, and quotations to ensure quality and cost assurance.
• Produce security system design drawings, technical documentation, and project outputs.
• Deliver high-quality work across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
