Job summary

Surecall Recruitment seeks a FIELD SALES REPRESENTATIVE - FOOD to cover a field-based, permanent role across Waltham Cross, Nottingham and Glasgow. The role offers a £36,000 annual salary plus a company vehicle after probation and a 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-to-Friday schedule.

You will own a designated sales territory, identify and win new customers, and grow existing accounts while expanding spend. A full UK driving licence is required.

Job Title - FIELD SALES REPRESENTATIVE - FOOD

Location - Waltham Cross, Nottingham and Glasgow

Salary - £36,000 per annum plus company vehicle and commission after 3 months' probation

Role - Field based, full time and permanent after 3 - months' probation period

A leading continental foods supplier is currently recruiting for experienced Foodservice Field Sales Representatives to sell and promote their products from distribution centres located in Waltham Cross, Nottingham and Glasgow.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and commercially driven salesperson with experience within the foodservice, catering, hospitality or food wholesale market.

You will take ownership of a designated sales territory, identifying and winning new customers while developing existing accounts and increasing spend.

This is a genuine new-business-focused field sales role. We are looking for someone who enjoys getting out into the market, opening doors, meeting decision-makers and converting opportunities into long-term customers.

This role would suit candidates with experience as a Foodservice Sales Executive, Field Sales Executive, Territory Sales Executive, Business Development Executive, Foodservice Account Manager or Business Development Manager.

Annual Salary of £36,000 per annum

Working hours: Monday to Friday: 8.00am - 5.00pm

Essential Skills

To be successful as a Foodservice Field Sales Executive, you will need:

• Proven experience within field sales, business development or territory sales
• A strong track record of winning new business and opening new customer accounts
• Confident prospecting and lead-generation skills, including cold calling and face-to-face approaches
• Experience building and managing your own sales pipeline and territory
• Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to engage owners, managers, buyers and key decision-makers
• Excellent communication, negotiation and closing skills
• Commercial awareness with the ability to work towards sales, revenue and margin targets
• A proactive, self-motivated and target-driven approach
• Ability to work independently and plan customer visits effectively
• Comfortable spending most of your working week out in the field
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 3 points or major endorsements

Desirable Skills

It would be advantageous if you have:

• Previous sales experience within foodservice, food wholesale, catering or hospitality
• Experience selling directly to foodservice end users
• An existing network of customers or industry contacts across Waltham Cross, Nottingham or Glasgow
• Experience selling into restaurants, takeaways, QSR operators, hotels, pubs, cafés, caterers, care homes or education
• Experience identifying and winning high-volume or multi-site accounts
• Knowledge of either the Waltham Cross , Nottingham or Glasgow foodservice market
• Experience growing spend and product penetration within existing accounts
• Previous experience working for a foodservice wholesaler, distributor or supplier
