An established industry player is seeking a dynamic Field Sales Representative to join their Parts team. This role involves engaging with new and existing customers, driving sales growth, and managing accounts effectively. You will be responsible for building strong customer relationships, preparing accurate quotations, and utilizing marketing campaigns to boost sales. The Field Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue and profitability by engaging proactively with new, existing, and lapsed customers. If you are a motivated salesperson with the energy and determination to pursue and close new leads, while revitalizing relationships with lapsed customers, this position is perfect for you.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement and Sales Growth: Build and maintain strong relationships with new and lapsed customers, transforming cash sales and prospects into repeat accounts. Actively seek out new opportunities and customers to achieve annual sales targets and ensure profitability.
Account Management, Call Planning, and Customer Visits: Develop and execute structured account plans, ensuring consistent customer engagement. Plan visits on weekly, monthly, or quarterly schedules to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
Data Management and Reporting: Maintain an accurate and up-to-date database of account details, engine population, and sales opportunities. Provide timely reports, forecasts, and performance analyses to management.
Quotation Preparation and Follow-up: Deliver prompt and accurate parts and service quotations. Track and follow up to ensure successful closure or provide feedback on lost sales.
Marketing Utilization and Lead Conversion: Leverage promotional campaigns and leads generated by the Inside Sales team to boost sales, identifying opportunities for growth within the assigned territory.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Proven experience in sales, preferably in parts sales or a related field.
Strong analytical skills to identify market opportunities.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work independently and use initiative to close sales.
Proficiency in data management and reporting.
Knowledge of diesel engines in the electric power generation and industrial segments, including key maintenance and overhaul parts would be an advantage.
