A growing wholesale and retail company is seeking a Business Development Manager to cover the North East. You will be responsible for seeking out new clients and maintaining existing relationships, while working independently from home. The ideal candidate has proven success in field sales and strong communication skills. Do you have good retail sales experience?
Can you work independently covering your own area and still be part of the Sales and Head Office Team?
You will be responsible for seeking out new opportunities by prospecting new clients, developing new business, and growing existing business, within the North East. This includes journey planning, tracking sales and taking full accountability for territory budgets/KPIs.
You will have a great existing client base from independent retailers to small convenience stores to petrol stations to national retailers and even nightclubs! You will be expected to add to your client base by developing effective working relationships.
You will be home based, ideally in Middlesbrough, Darlington or Durham, and cover the whole of the North East region. If overnight stays are required, hotels and meal allowances will be paid for. It is up to you to effectively plan your sales routes to maximise opportunities.
