A recruitment agency is seeking a Field Sales Manager based in Northampton. This full-time role involves sourcing new clients, maintaining relationships, and meeting sales targets across the geographical area from Northampton to Birmingham. Ideal candidates will have proven field sales experience, strong IT skills, and the ability to negotiate effectively. A degree in a related field is advantageous but not essential.

Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Field Sales Manager based in Northampton to join one of our clients on a full-time permanent basis.

Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 basic
Location: Field-based - covering from Northampton up to Birmingham.
Type of Contract: permanent
Hours: 37.5 hour working week

Responsibilities
  • Source new clients while developing and maintaining existing customer relationships.
  • Consistently achieve sales targets and manage a geographical area to maximise sales potential.
  • Travel to and visit customer sites (approximately 15 per week).
  • Act as the first point of contact for customers.
  • Generate new leads and convert them into new business.
  • Attend trade shows and promotional events to represent the company.
Requirements
  • A degree in Sales, Marketing, or a Business-related discipline (advantageous but not essential).
  • Proven field sales experience with a strong track record of meeting and exceeding targets.
  • Experience within the Industrial, Technical, or Engineering sector (essential).
  • Strong IT skills, including intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, with experience dealing with both small and large customers.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
