We are recruiting for a Field Sales Executive covering the Tyne & Wear/Northumberland area.

If you are passionate about sales and want to be a part of a leading bakery brand, we would love to hear from you.

The Recipe

Be part of a great family. As an organisation that is 149 years old, with a clear purpose and values, we provide staple products that help to feed our nation. You’ve probably tasted our products - now have a taste of what it means to be part of the family behind developing, creating and delivering all the incredible products that we’re famous for. We’re proud of our heritage and we love our brand, we know you will too!

At Warburtons, we are committed to your growth and development. We offer a range of career progression opportunities to help you achieve your professional goals. We will provide you with ongoing training and support that will equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in your role and advance within the commercial team.

The Role

Working within our Instore Sales Field Team as a Territory Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving sales, executing our brand plans in store with excellence and acting as a brand ambassador for our products.

This is an amazing opportunity for someone to develop their area and build strong customer relationships with our stores. You’ll love networking and building on existing relationships, driving growth and sales through category-based initiatives within your stores and territory.

You will focus on driving growth within some of our current retailers, delivering the channel and customer plans in-store, ensuring the successful execution of all customer in-store activities and the achievement of targets within your defined territory to ensure we feed the nation.

As part of the wider team, we’ll be looking for you to create opportunities and harness innovative ways to add value to the wider business. You’ll be passionate about achieving territory targets and sharing best practice. Through quality processes and living our values, you’ll build a solid partnership with our customers.

It’s not essential that you have any previous experience, but it definitely helps if you have a commercial mind, are comfortable with building relationships and curious about retail or market trends and changes.

  • Excellent communication skills: great at building relationships and establishing credibility with both internal and customer contacts.
  • Commercial knowledge: good understanding of numbers and the key levers for driving sales.
  • Confidence to work autonomously and manage your own workload.
  • Analytical experience: proven ability to interpret and evaluate complex data.
  • Proactive with the ambition to develop a career within Commercial Sales.
  • Brilliant organisational skills: managing your own and others' time effectively.
  • Competent with IT systems: including Excel, PowerPoint, and customer-specific software.
  • A solution mindset: someone that enjoys turning challenges into results.
  • Full driving licence
