Job summary

SER-IN in the Southwest England and South Wales region is seeking a Field Sales Engineer to advance from a technical machine tool background into a customer‑facing sales role selling CNC tools to SME manufacturers.

You will spend Monday to Thursday visiting customers, developing relationships and generating new enquiries, discuss technical solutions confidently, and promote a range of machine tools, including SMEC/Samsung tools, sliding‑head lathes, and CNC machining solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience selling machine tools to SME manufacturers.
• Able to discuss technical solutions and translate features into benefits.
• Strong customer relationship and new business development skills.

Responsibilities

• Visit customers Monday to Thursday to nurture relationships and generate enquiries.
• Discuss technical solutions confidently and build long‑term relationships.
• Promote and sell a range of machine tools including SMEC/Samsung, sliding-head lathes, and CNC machining solutions.

Field Sales Engineer - Machine Tools

Location: Southwest England & South Wales

Salary: £50,000 basic + Lucrative Commission structure + BMW company car + pension + expenses

We're looking for an experienced Application Engineer, Machine Tool Engineer or Tooling Sales professional who is ready to take the next step into a customer-facing sales role. You'll be joining an established machine tool business, selling high-quality CNC machine tools to SME manufacturers.

The Role

• Your week will be heavily customer-focused, with Monday to Thursday spent visiting customers, developing relationships and generating new enquiries.
• Discuss technical solutions confidently and build strong relationships.
• You 'll be responsible for promoting and selling a range of machine tools, including:
  • SMEC / Samsung machine tools
  • Sliding-head lathes
  • Zopo horizontal machining centres
  • CNC turning and machining solutions
