Overview
Field Sales Account Manager – South Region, Retail Home Décor. Home-based, field-based, and client-facing with autonomy and trust. Managing a portfolio of independent retailers and wholesalers in the Industrial & Wholesale Home Décor Product Range, covering the South of England. Basic salary up to GBP45,000 with exceptional commission to GBP70,000. Company car. Excellent benefits: holidays, pension, and more.
Responsibilities
- Field-based role with a strong emphasis on account management, alongside territory growth and new business development.
- Develop new business sales strategies and proactively maximise opportunities to grow sales in your designated area through existing and new customer relationships.
- Monitor and analyse sales performance, determining and implementing strategies to meet changing market conditions.
- Collaborate with the sales team and senior management to meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the business.
- Develop key customer relationships, understand and advise on strategy to build and enhance the supplier / customer partnership with a view to maximising sales opportunities.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to remain at the forefront of the industry.
- Attend trade shows and other industry events to capitalise on networking and relationship-building opportunities as necessary.
- Provide regular updates to the Sales Director.
- Submit expenses on Sage HR and submit regular mileage sheets, operating within agreed expense guidelines.
- Keep any company car under your care clean, tidy, smoke-free and roadworthy at all times by ensuring that all maintenance requirements are adhered to, as and when required.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships, ensuring repeat business and generating new leads.
- Self-motivated, driven, energetic, and able to work autonomously on the road; strong work-smart approach.
- Driving licence is a must.
- Experience in field-based sales to established industrial and wholesale clients is preferable.
