Job summary

Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Community Research Assistant to support the Age of Wonder study. You will primarily work in schools and community settings, recruiting participants, collecting interview data and health measurements, including blood samples after training.

This fixed-term, full-time role lasts 12 months and is paid under the Agenda for Change pay scale (Band 4).

Qualifications

• Experience in a community setting.
• Experience working with children and young people.
• Desirable: experience in research and working with children in schools or homes.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and consent participants (children, young people and families) mainly in schools.
• Arrange and undertake home visits as part of data collection.
• Collect data by conducting semi-structured interviews and obtain growth and health measures.
• Take blood samples from children and young people as part of data collection (training provided).
