Job summary

Osprey Engineering Solutions is seeking a hands-on electronics technician to diagnose, repair and modify electronic components and equipment used in demanding industrial and rail environments. The role involves testing, calibrating, and documenting work, with occasional travel to customer sites to resolve issues in person.

Candidates should have 2–4 years of relevant experience and a technical or vocational qualification.

Qualifications

• A technical or vocational qualification or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Two to four years of relevant experience with similar products and applications.
• A methodical, detail-oriented approach with strong diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Fault diagnosis using specialist test equipment and software to isolate faults.
• Repair and modification of circuitry and components with careful documentation of changes.
• Inspect equipment for correct assembly, installation and defects such as loose connections.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals and specs to find root causes.
• Conduct commissioning checks of newly installed equipment under live conditions.
