Position: Director at PSC trading as Experis | Recruitment Specialist for Embedded, Electronics, AI, Robotics, and Sustainable Energy Engineering Talent

Location: Witney, Oxford

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time – 37.5 hours per week

Hybrid: 2-3 days remote work per week depending on design schedule and physical product development

Requirements: Must have experience in CAN and STM32.

Summary:

We are world leaders in the design, development, and manufacture of precision magnetic field sensors. We are now looking to recruit a Digital Design Engineer to join our engineering design team within our R&D Department.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and validate digital electronic instrumentation and support equipment.
2. Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team on projects from concept to production.
3. Support existing digital products such as 24-bit Digitisers, Signal Analysers, and Dataloggers.
4. Occasional liaison with customers and external test houses.

Skills and Experience:

1. BSc, BEng, or equivalent in engineering or science.
2. Experience with Altera FPGA and VHDL.
3. Knowledge of STM32, PIC, NXP, NIOS, and Freescale Microcontrollers/processors.
4. Understanding of Digital Signal Processing.
5. Experience with data transmission protocols: CAN, RS485/422/232, UART, USB, Ethernet, SPI, I2C.

Desirable (not essential):

1. MSc, MEng, or equivalent in engineering.
2. Experience with magnetic field instrumentation.
3. Low noise analogue and mixed signal design for precision instrumentation.
4. Design for manufacture and test.
5. Design for EMC.

Preferred Industrial Backgrounds:

1. Instrumentation and control.
2. Measuring instruments and sensors.
