Job summary

H9 Talent Solutions is recruiting an Engine Rebuild Engineer for a UK-based power generation specialist. This field-based role covers gas and diesel engines across Great Britain, with a permanent, full-time position and a company van plus benefits.

You will perform engine rebuilds, diagnose faults, complete servicing, plan parts and tools, and maintain thorough records. Travel nationwide, occasional overnight stays, and a 8:00–16:30 schedule with a 24-hour callout rota.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of engine and/or generator fundamentals.
• Industrial mechanical experience, 3+ years recommended.
• Qualification: ONC/NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds Level 2.
• Full driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out engine rebuild, repair and maintenance.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and resolve issues.
• Complete servicing and repairs per manufacturers’ instructions.
• Plan parts, tools and resources for repairs.
• Work with service teams and contractors to complete work safely.
• Maintain service records and communicate progress.
