Job summary

North East Heating Solutions, a fast-growing family-owned business, seeks a Plumbing & Heating Engineer for a field-based role with travel across the North East. Based near Wetherby, you will install, remove and commission hot water systems and collaborate with electricians on modern electric heating installations.

The ideal candidate has NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing & Heating, proven plumbing & heating experience, and a full UK driving licence. Gas Safe registration is not required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a plumber or heating installer.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of domestic hot water and heating systems.
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive and professional on customer sites.
• Gas Safe registration is not required.

Responsibilities

• Removal of existing domestic heating and hot water systems (including cylinders, tanks and pipework).
• Installation, commissioning and testing of hot water systems.
• Pipework installation and connection to water supply and system controls.
• Fault finding, diagnostics and pressure testing.
• Collaborating with electricians on electric heating installations.
• Ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Providing high level of customer service and explaining systems to end users.
• Maintaining accurate job records and documentation.
• Supporting warehouse organization and stock control when required.
