Field Operations Manager

Location: Field-Based - North & Central

Salary: £33,150-£34,680 + bonus/commission

A well-established UK field services provider, specialising in utility sector support, is seeking an experienced Field Operations Manager to lead regional operations and drive performance across a remote field team.

The Role

The Field Operations Manager will be responsible for managing a regional field team, focusing on performance, compliance, and operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include training, recruitment, auditing, and supporting field operatives. A strong understanding of debt collection processes is essential, as the role involves managing debt recovery visits.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead, manage, and support a team of field-based professionals
  2. Recruit, train, and audit field operatives to maintain high standards
  3. Monitor field performance to ensure delivery of KPIs and SLAs
  4. Provide coaching through regular one-to-ones and accompanied field visits
  5. Analyse performance data and submit regular reports to senior management
  6. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, processes, and safety procedures
  7. Manage escalated field issues, including payment disputes and customer complaints
  8. Contribute to business improvement projects and support new initiative rollouts
  9. Build effective relationships with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders
Essential Requirements
  • Proven experience managing remote or field-based teams
  • Background in debt collection or arrears recovery
  • Strong leadership and performance management capabilities
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical and organised, with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Knowledge of the utilities sector is advantageous
  • Full UK driving licence
