Working as an Electronic Monitoring Field Officer for our Electronic Monitoring Service is more than just a job, it's the chance to be part of something great, to join a team where your contributions are valued, and where you can positively impact the communities we serve every day. You will head off to visit individuals in their homes to install tagging equipment and, with every individual you meet, have the opportunity to build their confidence in both you and the justice system, reassuring them of their safety and that of the public. Every day and every individual are different, which is what makes this role varied and full of opportunities.
You will either work alone or alongside a Monitoring Support Officer, and with every successful case you’ll be directly helping reduce the pressure on the prison system and give ex-prisoners the chance to be part of their community again.
We are looking for caregivers who are caring, compassionate, and resilient. If that sounds like you, you could be a Field Officer for Serco, using these key strengths to make a positive difference for people during a difficult time in their lives.
We are operational year-round, and due to the nature of the work you will work a range of shifts covering daytimes, weekends, and bank holidays. Your contractual working week is an average 37.5 hours per week on a rolling rota (including weekends). Evening shifts range from 5pm to 1am. Flexibility is key, and the rota is provided approximately 10 weeks in advance to help you plan meaningful time off.
