Job summary

Sanctuary Group in Rochford, Essex, is hiring a Multi-Trade Operative (Plumber / Wet Trades / Carpenter) to work across Rochford and Basildon. The role involves domestic void repairs, general building maintenance and lone working with occasional team support.

The post requires NVQ Level 2 in a core trade (with WRAS where needed), recent similar-experience, and a valid UK driving licence. A company van, tools and rota-based on-call duties are included.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry or electrical) or equivalent; Plumbing Level 3 with WRAS if required.
• Recent experience in a similar trade role.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation.
• PC literate with ability to use PDA and scheduling systems.
• Full UK driving licence required for company vehicle use.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, fault fixing and maintenance tasks per contract and service specs.
• Provide timely progress updates and maintain accurate daily records.
• Respond to complaints and breakdowns to meet customer expectations.
• Troubleshoot problems and communicate resolutions clearly to customers.
• Maintain tools and equipment and replenish stocks as needed.
