Job summary
Roundhouse Recruitment is seeking a Mobile Plant Engineer to service construction machinery on a Midlands patch, predominantly excavators. You will diagnose hydraulic and electrical faults, carry out servicing and repairs, and receive full product training.
The role offers a 39-hour week, no overnight stays, an early Friday finish, and clear paths for progression into senior technician or team leader positions within a long-established engineering group.
Qualifications
- Background in construction plant, heavy plant, agricultural machinery or heavy commercial vehicles / HGVs.
- Strong practical hydraulics and electrical diagnostic experience.
- Confident fault finding across heavy mobile machinery.
Responsibilities
- Field-based servicing, diagnostics and repair of construction machinery.
- Predominantly small to medium excavators and associated heavy plant.
- Mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault finding.
- Breakdown diagnosis and technical troubleshooting.
- Regional Midlands territory with no regular overnight stays.
- Monday to Thursday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.
- Friday, 8:00am - 3:30pm.
- 39-hour basic week with additional hours paid at 1.5x.
- Full manufacturer and product training.
