Job summary

Stark Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Meter Data Technician to work across diverse customer sites. You will travel as needed, locate meters, perform the required five checks, and record readings precisely in the provided spreadsheet.

You will also use SMR software to download data and promptly log successful transmissions, keeping line managers informed of any site access issues or safety concerns.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Meter Reader or field-based role is advantageous but not essential.
• Mandatory training including DBS certificate, manual handling, driver awareness, and PPE.
• Ability to travel to various customer sites and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Locate and read electric meters at customer sites and record results.
• Carry out required meter checks and log data on the supplied spreadsheet.
• Download meter data using SMR software and confirm successful transmission.
• Liaise with onsite reception/security and maintain safety and site protocols.
• Report issues to line manager and complete daily summaries of work.
