Job Title: Field Mechanical Engineer (Gas and Smoke)
Location: Birmingham/West Midlands
Salary: £28-38,000 + overtime
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Due to very high work volume, there is as much optional overtime as possible in this role, and there is the very realistic possibility of earning @50,000 a year.

About the Role

Join one of the UK's largest Garage Equipment Providers as a home-based Field Engineer. You'll be working on a variety of garage equipment and be equipped with a fully racked van to provide a seamless service.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Carry out diagnostics and repair and maintain a variety of equipment but in particular gas analysers for petrol engines and smoke meters for diesel engines
• Submit accurate paperwork (Quality System & Health & Safety compliant)
• Manage your van stock to meet First Time Fix targets
• Continue developing your technical skills

What We're Looking For

• Experience with emissions measurement as above
• Mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
• (Ideally) garage equipment

Also needed:

• Ability to follow instructions and meet standards
• Flexibility to work overtime when needed
• A full, clean UK driving licence
