Do you enjoy working with a down-to-earth, supportive team and using your own initiative to solve problems in the field? Our Field teams are critical in delivering our contracts, including maintenance, installation, cabling, and civils works. Help build and maintain the nation's critical infrastructure, connected and protected 24/7.

What you'll do:

Reporting to and directed by the Area Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing subcontractor suppliers in their contractual tasks.
  • Providing regular project status reports.
  • Driving a culture of health and safety and managing safety throughout.
  • Resource planning and confirmation.
  • Managing in-life issues and reporting.

Overseeing your team of Field Agents to ensure all programmed works are completed on site and to engineering standards. Promote safety, quality, and streetworks performance across the supply chain. Work with suppliers locally and the telent PMO to achieve delivery targets and customer outcomes, ensuring compliance with telent's delivery systems and handling escalations and complaints.

Collaborate with your suppliers to scale and scope their workforce in line with contractual terms. Provide line management and clear direction to Field Agents in the field.

Who you are:

Key requirements:

  • Experience in a delivery/operational management role.
  • Supervisory experience with civils, pole, or cable gangs in highways networks.
  • NRSWA Units 2 & 10
  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • Complete additional training within 6 months of appointment, including incident investigation, root cause analysis, hot job monitoring, negotiation skills, first aid, managing temporary works, and use of relevant tools.
