Job summary

HSL Compliance Limited is seeking a Risk Assessor to conduct Legionella risk assessments and prepare accurate reports for clients across the UK. You will create system schematics and support water treatment tasks, reporting to an Account Manager or Supervisor from a home base in the Sunderland/NE area, with UK travel as required.

The role requires strong attention to detail, self-motivation, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Technically capable with good attention to detail.
• Self‑driven and able to manage own workload.
• Customer‑centered with strong communication skills.
• Willing to travel within the UK as needed.
• Solid understanding of health and safety principles.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Legionella risk assessments following HSE guidance (ACoP L8 & HSG274).
• Create clear, accurate reports and technical documentation.
• Produce system schematics for hot and cold water systems.
• Assist with sampling, monitoring, and water treatment tasks.
• Audit client records and logbooks for compliance.
• Maintain strong working relationships with clients.
• Represent HSL professionally at all times.
• Report to an Account Manager or Supervisor; home base around Sunderland, Newcastle upon Tyne or Durham with UK travel.
