Job summary

Durateam Environmental is recruiting an experienced Labourer to support an ongoing lead pipework programme in the water industry. You will operate in a two-person team to investigate whether lead is present in existing service pipework at customer properties.

Duties include removing and reinstating water meters, assisting the Plumber with sampling and pipework investigations, accessing external stop taps, using specialist equipment, and performing general labouring and site duties outdoors in

Qualifications

• Previous water industry or utilities experience.
• Experience removing and reinstating water meters is essential.
• Good practical skills and a willingness to learn.
• Full UK Driving Licence is desirable.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, hardworking and safety-conscious.
• Comfortable working as part of a Plumber and Labourer team.

Responsibilities

• Removing and reinstating water meters.
• Assist Plumber with sampling, flushing and pipework investigations.
• Accessing and working around external stop taps.
• Using specialist equipment during pipework investigations.
• Carry out general labouring and site duties.
• Work across multiple properties throughout the day.
• Maintain a professional and courteous approach when working at customers' homes.
• Work safely and follow water industry procedures.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
