Job summary

PepsiCo is seeking an Agricultural Science Technician to support field trials, crop technology evaluations, and data collection across potato and oat programmes. This hands-on role spans field, laboratory, post-harvest, and factory environments, offering exposure to sensors, drones, imaging, and digital data tools.

Qualifications

• Qualification or practical experience in Agriculture, Crop Science, Plant Science, Biology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
• Experience supporting agricultural trials, field research, laboratory activities, sample processing, or technical operations.
• Strong practical skills in sample collection, processing, handling, and data recording with digital tools.
• Ability to follow technical protocols and SOPs while maintaining accuracy.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple activities and priorities.
• Proactive, dependable, collaborative approach with interest in agricultural technologies.
• Driving license.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of field trials through establishment, assessments, sampling, harvests, and data collection.
• Operate and evaluate agricultural technologies including sensors and imaging tools.
• Collect, process and maintain trial data and samples with high accuracy and traceability.
• Carry out sample preparation and post-harvest assessments to aid crop evaluation.
• Assist with preparation and maintenance of trial equipment, materials, and supplies.
• Collaborate with scientists, technicians, growers, and partners while adhering to safe practices.
