Job summary

Stryker is seeking a Field Inventory specialist to count inventory at customer sites across defined regions in line with the yearly plan. You will build relationships with customers and internal teams to execute counts accurately and drive value-added inventory management activities.

The role requires adaptability in a fast-paced environment, and you will follow ISO, SOX, and regulatory requirements while identifying opportunities to optimize inventory and improve service levels.

What You Will Do

The Field Inventory specialist will be responsible for counting inventory in the field at customer sites in line with the set plan for the year, including reconciliation agreed with customer.

The role will be successful by building internal and external relationships, to execute the counts in the field but also to drive additional inventory management value added activities together with customers.

Key Activities & Responsibilities
  • Responsible to making sure the counts in your set region are performed in line the European SOP for field inventory count.
  • Together with the manager create the most effective count plan for the year
  • Manage the appointments with the hospitals and Stryker sales reps. Proactively identifies opportunities for inventory optimization, and present these to internal stakeholders (and customers)
  • Visit the customer and perform the inventory count with Stryker’s AIM platform for field inventory management
  • The count is performed for sterile implants, unsterile implants and kits.
  • Analyse the count differences, align and agree the actions with the customer and if required the Stryker sales reps
  • Using the AIM platform to perform the inventory adjustment transactions as agreed with the customer and the Stryker sales rep in Oracle.
  • Send necessary reports to customer and Stryker sales rep.
  • Work together with the customer and agree actions for expired or soon to be expired products
  • Represent Stryker in a professional way during customer visits
  • Build effective relationships with our customer and internal stakeholders
  • Contributing to continuous improvements by identifying inefficiencies and proposing process improvements
  • Stay up to date with product knowledge to understand the Stryker business, our customers needs to create the best possible outcomes for field inventor management
  • Be the role model for your colleagues and support more junior colleagues related to the job. Support onboarding and training of new team members.
  • Ensures all ISO, Compliance, SOX, FCPA and regulatory requirements and policies are followed
Education
Essential :
  • A levels or higher (or equivalent)
Desired :
  • Degree in business or logistics
Experience
Essential :
  • Managing of inventory and counting inventory, including reconciliation
  • Managing Microsoft office applications and ERP systems efficiently
  • Experience of working with SOPs and SOX controls
  • Proven excellent communication skills and building relationships
Preferred :
  • Managing field inventory at customer sites
  • Experience working with implants and instruments or similar work
  • Asset or inventory management – work with evaluating inventory and making adjustments that reduces inventory while maintaining service levels.
  • Medical Device Industry - Experience within the industry dealing with sterile and non-sterile components

United Kingdom Pay Ranges
  • United Kingdom: £30,200 - £50,500 GBP Annual

The compensation information posted for this role may be presented as a salary range or a fixed amount depending on the role.
