Job summary

Finlay Jude Associates Limited is seeking an installation technician to assist with the assembly and commissioning of equipment across the UK, Ireland and Europe.

You will mark out dimensions with a tape measure, select the right tools and follow safety procedures in various industrial environments, including wastewater facilities. Occasional extended stays away from home are required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience on construction, industrial or mechanical installation sites.
• Ability to accurately use a tape measure and mark dimensions.
• Basic understanding of hand tools, power tools and their safe use.
• Ability to work safely in industrial environments including wastewater facilities.
• Willingness to travel extensively and stay away from home across the UK, Ireland and Europe.

Responsibilities

• Follow instructions from the Installation Supervisor.
• Assist with installation and assembly of equipment to project specs.
• Mark out dimensions using a tape measure.
• Identify and safely use the correct tools for each task.
• Work in diverse environments, including wastewater facilities and other industrial sites.
• Report health, safety, environmental or quality non-compliances to the Installation Supervisor.
• Maintain housekeeping in work areas, inside and outside tanks and confined spaces.
• Assist with loading and unloading deliveries and site materials.
• Check deliveries against requirements and report discrepancies to the Installation Supervisor.
• Follow RAMS, Site Rules, Lift Plans and Safe Systems of Work.
• Wear required PPE and comply with site PPE requirements.
• Maintain installation standards and workmanship.
• Undertake installation work across the UK, Ireland and Europe, including extended away-from-home stays.
