We are seeking a Field Implementation Consultant to join our team in Birmingham. You will provide on-site service and technical assistance for our Point of Sale products within the hospitality industry, including restaurants, hotels, and bars. Your role is crucial in ensuring smooth go-live processes, setting our strategic customers up for success, and representing Lightspeed in the UK. You will leverage industry social networks to promote our product and grow our customer base by delivering exceptional service. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to lead projects focused on innovating and improving our processes to ensure a best-in-class customer experience. Our customers’ success is our success.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Travel to customer locations to facilitate hardware implementation and provide technical support.
  • Plan and conduct onsite training sessions with business owners, management, and staff on the POS system.
  • Guide customers through setup, implementation, and integration processes.
  • Install and troubleshoot networking devices, including routers and wireless access points.
  • Document and track installation details, network schematics, and onsite services.
  • Report installation progress to your Team Lead and Installation Coordinator.
  • Ensure all hardware is available before onsite visits.
  • Manage your schedule and collaborate with the Installation Coordinator for efficient planning.
  • Communicate customer and product issues to our development team.
  • Represent Lightspeed as a company ambassador to customers.
  • Apply troubleshooting techniques to identify and resolve customer issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with the Launch and Professional Services team to enhance customer experience.

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • Experience in the hospitality industry and customer interaction to deliver value.
  • Proven troubleshooting skills for technical issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects across different customer stages.
  • Collaborative work ethic with the Field Sales team for onboarding new customers.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and eager to learn.

Preferred but not necessary:

  • Passion for technology
  • Experience in technical or hardware installation/support
  • Fundamental networking knowledge
  • Background in POS, SaaS, networking, or software.
