Job description

HSE Manager - 12 Month initial contract - Outside IR35 - Based in Talacre, North Wales

Our client requires a Field HSE Manager for a contract position in Talacre, North Wales.

Contract Duration: Initially 12 months (potential extension up to 2-3 years)

Working Hours: 55 hours/week, Monday to Friday plus Saturday mornings

Mission

• Implement HSE management systems at site/field level according to company guidelines and standards
• Manage all HSE issues for the site/field

Responsibilities

• Develop and ensure implementation of HSE Management System in compliance with international standards (ISO 14001 / 45001, others)
• Ensure all site activities adhere to client HSE standards
• Implement and monitor HSE plans and procedures
• Serve as HSE focal point on site/field
• Develop emergency response plans for potential events
• Establish HSE monitoring and audit programs
• Promote environmental and safety awareness among workforce; conduct regular site meetings with supervisors, workers, and sub-contractors
• Provide HSE support and advice to project/site management
• Interface with clients and authorities
• Lead and manage the Field HSE team
• Protect environmental sensitive areas
• Develop spill contingency plans and monitor their implementation
• Develop Waste, Chemical, and Water Management Plans; obtain relevant permits and monitor compliance
• Ensure compliance with noise regulations
• Monitor air quality protection during project activities
• Establish environmental monitoring and audit programs across all project phases
• Identify archaeological significant areas via surface surveys and sampling
• Develop Occupational Safety Risk Assessments
• Participate in accident/incident investigations
• Implement project HSE training and induction programs at site level
