About the Role

Position: Field Forklift Engineer

Company: Forkway

Contract: Permanent

Salary: Up to £36,000 + Overtime and bonuses

Locations: Amersham, Watford, Reading (South)

Forkway is one of the UK's leading materials handling solutions providers with around 100 employees across three Handling Centres and several strategic service centres.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake repair & maintenance of industrial, agricultural, and warehousing trucks and ancillary equipment, ensuring maximum profitability and return. Carry out fault diagnosis to identify reported breakdowns.
• Highlight and record all damages and faults accurately on Forkway documentation.
• Provide professional, efficient, and responsive service support to customers by maintaining & repairing materials handling equipment to high standards, observing Health and Safety regulations.
• Complete all required paperwork promptly, including servicing sheets, breakdown reports, accident reports, timesheets, and quotes.
• Collaborate with the sales team, informing them of potential leads and participating in site surveys and meetings as needed.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Relevant technical qualification.
• Experience working on cars, vans, HGVs, or agricultural machinery.
• Understanding of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical principles.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Good workload management and prioritization skills.
