Job summary

HP4 Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Fire & Security Service Engineer to service CCTV, access control and fire/intruder alarm systems in Southampton and surrounding areas. The role offers a permanent, field-based position with a competitive salary and overtime opportunities.

You will perform servicing, fault-finding and repairs across commercial sites, using various manufacturers’ systems, and maintain thorough service records while liaising with customers and the team.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• HPrevious experience as a Fire & Security Service Engineer or Security Engineer.
• Ideally 3+ years in fire and/or security (desirable).
• Experience with CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarms or Intruder Alarms; familiar with various manufacturers’ systems.
• Willingness to undertake additional training and upskilling; IPAF/ CSCS/ECS/ FIA/ City & Guilds desirable.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintenance, fault-finding and repair of IP CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm and Intruder Alarm systems.
• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across commercial sites.
• Working with a wide range of manufacturers’ systems.
• Diagnosing faults and completing effective remedial works.
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with industry regulations.
• Maintaining clear and professional communication with customers.
• Completing service reports and documentation accurately and on time.
• Supporting other engineers and assisting the wider team when required.
