Job summary

Marlowe Fire & Security is seeking experienced Fire Extinguisher Technicians to join our expanding team, covering Portsmouth and Southampton. You will service, install, and maintain fire extinguishers and related systems for a diverse client base, ensuring compliance and high standards.

Ideal candidates hold BAFE/FETA certifications, have a mechanical fire services background, and possess a full UK driving licence with a willingness to travel and participate in ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Proven servicing and maintenance of fire extinguishers essential.
• Hold relevant industry qualifications such as BAFE, FETA or equivalent.
• Background in mechanical fire services or related technical discipline.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Able to work independently with fault-finding capabilities.
• Willingness to travel and participate in ongoing training.
• Experience with additional mechanical fire systems desirable.
• Full, valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver servicing and maintenance of extinguishers, hose reels, and fire suppression systems.
• Install and service portable extinguishers and kitchen suppression systems.
• Ensure work complies with industry standards and customer requirements.
• Plan service visits and manage workloads to meet commitments.
• Build strong client relationships through clear communication.
• Manage tools, equipment, and vehicle stock for readiness.
• Collaborate with team to uphold high workmanship and service standards.
