Position Summary

Provide Technical and Operational support for Subsea Robotics, Intervention, Workover Controls, Surface Support equipment, etc., on a worldwide basis.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Provide remote technical support within the 24/7 global tech support framework.
  • Provide offshore assistance for installation and interfacing of all Subsea Robotics equipment including ROV Systems, Subsea Tooling, Workover Control Systems, Tensioner and Reel systems.
  • Provide offshore assistance for complex troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Provide offshore and onshore assistance for Subsea Robotics system upgrades.
  • Provide offshore technical support for critical and high-profile jobs.
  • Assist installations group with System Installations and winch drum change outs.
  • Assist in rebuilding and maintaining good client relations.
  • Assist in training offshore personnel.
  • Assist shop and yard personnel with troubleshooting questions for all equipment.
  • Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) when requested.
  • Assist SCM with queries involving technical information and help identify obsolete parts for recycling or replacement.
  • Assist software groups with research, suggestions for improvements, and streamlining deployment of new software releases.
  • Test new potential equipment from vendors, communicate and track results, and notify suppliers of issues.
  • Create documents and flow charts to assist offshore crews and onshore repair technicians.
  • Maintain a shared file library of troubleshooting and technical support documentation.
  • Assist Service Excellence Leads in planning projects and identifying technical gaps that may lead to COPQ.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Technical/associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience and/or training in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems or equivalent.

Working Conditions (Requires Regional Variance)

This position involves both onshore and offshore work, characterized by:

  • Indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Day and night shifts, sometimes near water.
  • Working on or near moving and vibrating equipment.
  • Potential exposure to humidity, noise, fire, fumes, and gases.
  • Work on stable, elevated surfaces.

Physical Activity/Requirements

The physical demands include lifting heavy weights, working in confined spaces, climbing, standing, and wearing PPE. This is considered heavy work with occasional, frequent, and constant physical activities as detailed.
