Job description

FieldCore is looking for engaged and driven individuals with a passion for engineering to join our Field Engineering Program and Technical Field team based in the UK.

GE Vernova is a global energy company supporting Power, Wind, and Electrification businesses, with a focus on decarbonization and energy transition. Headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts, it employs over 80,000 people worldwide.

The Gas Power business engineers natural gas-powered technologies and decarbonization solutions. FieldCore installs, maintains, and upgrades power generation equipment to ensure reliable and affordable energy.

About the Role

Initially, you will be enrolled in FieldCore’s Field Engineering Program (FEP), where you will develop technical expertise, lean thinking, and leadership skills through training and on-the-job experience. Upon graduation, you will be eligible for a Technical Field Advisor position working on Gas Turbines.

As a Technical Field Advisor, you will manage site activities, perform maintenance, and resolve technical issues at customer power plants, contributing to safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain safety standards and ensure work reflects GE safety requirements.
  • Manage site activities, including maintenance, repair, and calibration of Gas Turbines.
  • Respond to emergency repairs and provide technical instruction.
  • Write technical reports, manage job documentation, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Verify work quality and oversee upgrades at site.
Requirements
  • Willingness to travel extensively overseas and work holidays, weekends, and overtime.
  • Ability to spend significant time away from home for training and field assignments.
  • Fluent in English with strong technical skills and a passion for engineering.
  • Ownership, work ethic, problem-solving skills, and good communication.
  • Formal education in Engineering (Bachelor's or Master’s) is preferred but experience is valued.
