Qualifications

Job description

Our client is a leading supplier of automated vehicle wash systems, and due to their continued success, Staffbase has been appointed to recruit for the position of Field Service Engineer.

The Field Service Engineer will undertake machine installations, maintenance, and repair work throughout England & Wales.

The Role

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for mechanical and basic 3-phase electrical service and repair of commercial vehicle wash equipment.

Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:

  1. Assist with vehicle wash machinery installation and commissioning
  2. Attend machinery breakdowns and carry out fault finding and repair work
  3. Undertake scheduled planned maintenance checks
  4. Ensure accurate visit reports, including details of work undertaken/completed, are recorded on the computer system
Candidate

You will be a competent engineer with excellent 3-phase electrical and mechanical fault finding and repair skills.

Ideally, you will have a recognized qualification in mechanical and/or electrical engineering. Previous work experience with vehicle wash systems would be beneficial but is not essential, as training will be provided.

Applicants with 18th Edition or recognized electrical engineering qualifications will have an advantage.

You should be computer literate and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

You must be comfortable working outdoors.

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week.
