Job summary

Matter is seeking a field-based commissioning and installation specialist to lead planning and execution of benchtop-scale testing and analysis at customer sites, own installation and commissioning plans for industrial equipment, and develop commissioning processes for Matter equipment.

Job description

• Lead planning and execution of benchtop-scale testing, analysis and reporting at customer sites
• Own installation and commissioning plans for industrial equipment at customer sites
• Develop and deliver commissioning processes for Matter equipment
• Collaborate with Engineering to create assembly, installation and commissioning documentation
• Champion health and safety at Matter and customer sites
• Support the Commercial Team from lead development through sale and installation
• Work with Engineering and Commercial teams to improve existing and new products using on-site insights and customer requirements
• Plan future training needs for direct reports or third-party subcontractors
• Provide maintenance and post-commissioning support and troubleshooting
• Work in line with Matter’s values
• Report to the Chief Commercial Officer
• Work toward KPIs, with weekly 1-to-1 meetings and appraisals after 6 and 12 months

Requirements

• Experience installing and commissioning industrial equipment
• Experience working directly with customers
• Experience writing technical reports
• Practical experience operating and maintaining wastewater treatment equipment or similar industrial solutions
• Self-motivated problem solver with strong engineering experience
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively, up to 50%
• Experience working in industrial wastewater treatment (desirable)
• Experience working in sales (desirable)
• Experience with electronic control systems (desirable)
• Experience writing technical documentation such as installation plans (desirable)
