CCTV Field Engineer

Marston Holdings is continually expanding, and part of our growth is our technology division, where we have attained Videalert and Vortex. We are the UK’s leading supplier of intelligent traffic enforcement and management solutions and a leading provider of smart city solutions that deliver high productivity at low operational costs. We also provide environmental sensors, networks, and data solutions to support decarbonisation efforts globally, leveraging real-time data with cleantech technologies.

We are looking to increase our service capabilities by recruiting a CCTV Field Engineer. This is a full-time, permanent position that involves out-of-office hours (OOH) work and extensive UK-wide travel. The candidate must hold a Full UK Driving License.

This role is crucial to our operations team. Field Engineers are responsible for ensuring the hardware for our traffic enforcement and management products is delivered and maintained safely, successfully, and in a timely manner.

Core Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with the Head of Service Management, PMO Manager, Technical Manager, and the wider service delivery team to address recurring technical issues, and identify and implement training or documentation needs.
  2. System commissioning—working with engineering partners to install systems at client sites, ensuring delivery matches specifications, and overseeing installation and assembly on-site, including managing subcontractors where necessary.
  3. Software configuration—adjusting system settings on-site to maximize delivery efficiency and optimize solution effectiveness.
  4. System support—assisting the helpdesk team, performing system checks, reacting to alerts or client issues, troubleshooting, and attending sites for hardware replacements as needed.
Required Experience & Skills:
  • At least two years’ experience in a technical field role, preferably with enforcement, CCTV, or ANPR system providers.
  • Strong understanding of Networking/IP.
  • Good working knowledge of hardware components (PCs, cameras, wireless systems) and networking devices.
  • Full UK Driving License.
Benefits:
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
  • Full-time, permanent contract.
  • 37.5 hours per week.
  • Salary of £45,000 plus use of a company vehicle.
  • Enhanced Maternity and Paternity packages (subject to eligibility).
  • Healthcare Cash Plan.
  • Staff benefits including discounts on shopping, travel, socialising, and wellbeing.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain diverse experience within a rapidly growing software company in a developing market sector. The role offers extensive training and opportunities for personal and professional development, building skills in both technical and service delivery areas.
