Job summary

A leading technology recruitment firm is looking for a Network Field Engineer for a contract role based across Scotland. The position requires installation and commissioning of networking equipment, troubleshooting network issues, and providing first-line support. Excellent communication skills and proven track record in networking technologies are essential. The role offers a day rate of £200 for a 12-month contract starting in December 2025.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in the installation and support of DC Charger, PDH, SDH, Comtel, Microwave radio technologies.
• Experience with DC & AC systems.

Responsibilities

• Installation & Commissioning of Networking Equipment.
• Monitor & troubleshoot network & systems.
• Routing, Switching & IP networking.
• 1st Line Support of networking technologies.
• Be part of a 24 x 7 x 365 support on-call rota.

Skills

Installation of Networks & equipment (Commtel/SDH/PDH/Radio/Xtran)

Excellent knowledge of routing switching and data networking

IP networking (WAN , LAN, MPLS)

Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Proven track record in the installation and support of DC Charger, PDH, SDH, Comtel, Microwave radio technology's DC & AC experienced
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
