Job summary

Accelero is seeking a hands-on Field Engineer to join our UK-based team. The role focuses on installation, maintenance, fault-finding, repair, testing and commissioning of specialist radar, VHF and microwave electronic systems in safety-critical environments.

This field-based position requires practical experience across at least two of Radar, VHF and Microwave, with strong diagnostic and schematics-reading skills.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in at least two of Radar, VHF, Microwave.
• Experience with fault finding, diagnostics, installation, testing and commissioning.
• Field-based engineering experience with working from schematics and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

We’re working with a leading organisation within a specialist, safety-critical engineering environment, who are looking for a hands-on Field Engineer to join their team.

This is a genuinely technical role focused on installation, maintenance, fault-finding, repair, testing and commissioning of specialist electronic systems.

What we're looking for

You must have hands-on experience in at least 2 of the following 3 areas:

• Radar
• VHF
• Microwave

Alongside this, you should have practical experience with:

• Fault finding & diagnostics
• Maintenance & repair
• Installation
• Testing & commissioning
• Electronic / communications systems
• Working from schematics and technical documentation
• Field-based engineering

The ideal background

We're particularly interested in engineers coming from defence, marine, aviation, navigation, telecommunications or other safety-critical environments.

This is not a management, consultancy or purely design-based position. We're looking for someone who enjoys getting hands-on with equipment, diagnosing faults and solving technical problems in the field.
