Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, service, and repair CNC and woodworking machinery across the UK. You will travel nationwide, perform software diagnostics and mechanical/electrical maintenance, and benefit from a dedicated company van, fuel card, and paid expenses for stays.

You'll work a 40-hour week (08:00-17:00) with weekend overtime at 1.5x rates and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Proven engineering background with CNC and woodworking machinery.
• Experience with software diagnostics and machine operating systems.
• Willingness to travel nationwide and stay away as required.

Responsibilities

• Installing, servicing, and maintaining CNC machines, edgebanders, table saws, and panel saws.
• Responding to breakdown call-outs, diagnosing faults, and ordering replacement parts.
• Configuring and troubleshooting machine operating systems.
• 40 hours per week with nationwide travel and occasional overnight stays.

The Role

• Installing, servicing, and maintaining CNC machines, edgebanders, table saws, and panel saws
• Responding to breakdown call-outs, assessing machinery, diagnosing faults, and ordering necessary replacement parts
• Utilising technical software knowledge to configure and troubleshoot machine operating systems
• 40 hours per week (08:00-17:00, Monday to Friday) covering nationwide travel with some overnight stay-aways required

The Person

• Proven engineering background working specifically with CNC and woodworking machinery
• Confident with software diagnostics as well as physical installations, servicing, and maintenance
• Comfortable with nationwide travel and occasional overnight stays (all expenses fully covered)
• Reliable, organised, and capable of working independently on customer sites
