Where will you be working?
At M Group Telecom, we're enabling and enhancing telecom networks, playing a lead role in the delivery of our tech-enabled future. We deliver full network cycle services for fixed, private, and mobile operators. This role will be within our Private networks.
We find the best technology, manage assets and refresh systems. With 24/7 network operations, we keep things running smoothly, while operating comprehensive network repair and maintenance to keep everything in top shape. Want to come and be a part of it?
What will you be doing?
You’ll have responsibilities which include installation, commissioning, 1st line reactive maintenance, and working at heights to support contracts. You’ll be preparing and terminating radio frequency (RF) feeders, electrical (DC), fibre, and copper cables. You’ll be performing industry standard testing as required on telecoms and antenna systems e.g. radio frequency (RF) sweeps, ethernet, and network testing. You’ll be doing equipment installation and commissioning across various projects and technologies. Wiring and connection of DC power to telecoms equipment to required standards and regulations. 1st Line Support and troubleshooting of customer equipment to include, however not limited to mobile network equipment, data-comms equipment, switching equipment, VOIP management systems. Planned preventative maintenance, Risk Assessment Method Statement (RAMS) creation, and work area/vehicle management. Completion of site surveys to enable installation. You’ll be maintaining an on-call rota.
What you’ll bring
We’ll need you to have a full UK Driving Licence. You’ll have previous experience working as a Field Engineer in the Telecoms sector - use of equipment; Radio Frequency (RF) and microwave installation and working at height (up to 100 metres). You’ll have analytical skills and logical thinking to assist in fault diagnosis and resolution. You’ll have an interest in new equipment & technology and keenness to learn about it.
