At M Group Telecom, were enabling and enhancing telecom networks, playing a lead role in the delivery of our tech enabled future.

We deliver full network cycle services for fixed, private and mobile operators.

This role will be within ourPrivate networks.We find the best technology, manage assets and refresh systems. With 24/7 network operations, we keep things running smoothly, while operating comprehensive network repair and maintenance to keep everything in top shape.

What will you be doing?

  • Youll have responsibilities which include installation, commissioning, 1st line reactive maintenance and working at heights to support contracts.
  • Youll be preparing and terminating radio frequency (RF) feeders, electrical (DC), fibre and copper cables.
  • Youll be performing industry standard testing as required on telecoms and antenna systems e.g. radio frequency (RF) sweeps, ethernet and network testing.
  • Youll be doing equipment installation and commissioning across various projects and technologies.
  • Wiring and connection of DC power to telecoms equipment to required standards and regulations.
  • 1st Line Support and troubleshooting of customer equipment to include, however not limited to mobile network equipment, data-comms equipment, switching equipment, VOIP management systems.
  • Planned preventative maintenance
  • Risk Assessment Method Statement (RAMS) creation and work area/vehicle management.
  • Completion of site surveys to enable installation.
  • Youll be maintaining an on-call rota

What youll bring

  • Well need you to have a full UK Driving Licence.
  • Youll have previous experience working as a Field Engineer in the Telecoms sector - use of equipment; Radio Frequency (RF) and microwave installation and working at height (up to 100 metres)
  • Youll have analytical skills and logical thinking to assist in fault diagnosis and resolution.
  • Youll have a interest in new equipment & technology and keenness to learn about it.
